Access To Work

PA & Admin Support

Admin Support for the Delightfully Different

At HBVA, we know that every brain works differently. Some are structured, some are wonderfully wiggly, some are proudly neurospicy, and honestly none of us here would ever pretend to be normal anyway!

That is why we shape the way we work around you. Our team brings lived experience and a very real understanding of how different minds prefer to work.

We get the busy brain moments, the blank brain days, the sudden bursts of energy, and the occasional chaos. And we are completely comfortable with all of it.

Whether you prefer clear structure, flexible support, visual walk throughs, or simple communication without the overload, we adapt to your style. No judgement and no pressure. Just calm, steady, genuinely helpful support.

We create easy to follow systems, take on the tasks that feel heavy, and help you stay organised in a way that works for your brain. HBVA is people first.

We’re a friendly team of not very normal humans who meet you exactly where you are, gently untangle the messy bits, and help you get things done in a way that feels calm, comfortable and actually doable!

How Does Billing Work?

We keep this part as stress free as possible because nobody needs extra admin in their life!

1. You give HBVA’s details to Access to Work

When your award is approved, Access to Work will ask who your support worker is. You give them HBVA’s details so they know who is providing the support and what the rate is.

2. We track the hours we work together

Every month, we log the hours we’ve supported you. You don’t need to do anything fancy, just confirm the hours are correct.

3. You sign a timesheet each month

This is the important step.

Access to Work always requires either:

  • a signed Access to Work timesheet, or

  • an email confirmation from you (depending on how your advisor prefers it).

It’s quick, usually a digital form or email reply.

4. We send you what you need for your claim

Every month, HBVA will:

  • prepare an invoice for the hours we have worked

  • provide any supporting information you need for Access to Work (for example a breakdown of tasks if they ask for it)

5. You submit the claim to Access to Work

You send the information to Access to Work, usually by:

  • uploading documents through the online portal, or

  • emailing them to your adviser, or

  • posting them, if that is how your claim is set up.

We will remind you when it is time to submit and what to include, but the claim itself is always in your name.

5. Access to Work pays us directly

Once the claim is processed they send the payment straight to us, not you.

You never pay upfront and you never have to reimburse us.
